Horoscope or birth chart is an indicator of the results of karmas done by an individual in the past births. Karma is the Sanskrit word representing accumulated actions, positives & negatives of earlier lifetimes that help to create a person's present dharma or assigned duties in this lifetime. These are the sanchit karmas. We may call them as balance of fruits of past births.
To quote His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, "Strange are the ways of Karma. The more you understand it, the more amazed you become. It brings people together and separates them. It causes some to be weak and some to be strong. It makes some rich and some poor. The entire struggle in the world, whatever it may be, is the bondage of Karma. It cuts across all logic and reasoning. This understanding will lift you from getting stuck to the events or personalities and help you in your Journey to the Self."
In the present life time, realization of fruits of past birth depends upon the order of dasha the native gets and the current movement of planets experienced by him from time to time. More importantly current movement of slow moving planets like Saturn and Jupiter always needs to be studied. One needs to understand that there is some gestation period between the actions done by an individual in past lives and its result. To access this period is beyond human interpretation. It has been written in scriptures, that, karma does not leave us till we expend it.
One must see what one's horoscope indicates or reveals. There are times in life when our efforts get recognition and appreciation but at some times when things are not going our way, we need to absorb things in a balanced way. During these times astrology gives us the direction.
Good fortune can be augmented and great challenges mitigated by suitable measures as every living being has the ability to overcome the influence of planets by exercising his or her free will. Vedic Astrology is not deterministic but a subject of tendencies. It gives us information and an indication about our self that enables us to activate our strengths or assess ways to deal with our short comings. It has the capacity to point firmly to the likelihood of occurrence or non-occurrence of events. Treating Astrology as a friend helps to focus better to determine in which direction efforts should be put in our lives.
